Action Required for IHOP: Bring us Vegan Pancakes, NOW!

It's a peaceful Saturday morning-- a cup of coffee in hand (hazelnut with a dash of agave nectar, black) and I was skimming through VegNews when I came upon this article!

A campaign is being brought about to petition for IHOP to add vegan pancakes to their menu. *Pausing for a minute to let the wave of excitement wash over* I mean, who doesn't like PANCAKES?! Sure, we could do the typical thing most vegans do by just making our own at home, but we, like everybody else, have times when we don't feel like cooking and would rather go out for a big ol' pile of flapjacks placed in front of us. If IHOP could also add some vegan breakfast sausage links (perhaps they could partner with MorningStar Farms?) and a tofu scramble, that would be nice too. Just picturing such a plate is making my mouth water already, so I will move on to say...

Go here to sign the petition!

This would be a great movement for IHOP, too, as a business, during a time when a lot of these plant-based alternatives are really taking off. As the article mentions, other mainstream food companies like Starbucks, Peet's, and Chipotle have already adopted some meat/dairy-free items to their menu (more to come on these later). So if you don't want to lose out on the corporate race, then why the heck not, IHOP? Get on it please, like, NOW.
